Thought for the Week: Tool

In the process of building and sustaining your business you have to use marketing tools to reach prospects and clients  One tool for many is Networking. For many it is the most important and definitly the most personal tool in their toolbox.  As with all your tools it is necessary to keep them in excellent working order. With Networking that means keeping yourself up to date with the many opportunities available, practice with your presentation, creating a plan of what you want to accomplish at each event, time scheduled for follow up, 1 on 1's, and the time slotted for the ones you have chosen to attend on a regular basis. Then to put the razor edge on this important tool, make sure to have a positive attitude.

Thought For The Week: Start

Every day we have to start our day. How do you start yours?

According to Laura Vanderkam, author of "What The Most Successful People Do Before Breakfast", her research suggested that “successful people devoted significant portions of their time in the morning that was most important, or loved to do.”

If you want to become a more productive morning person, Vanderkam suggests: “making the to do list the day before; getting good sleep; exercising; practicing a morning ritual, including meditation [or prayer]; eating a proper breakfast; avoiding morning meetings […]; tackling the most important work first; and visualizing your ideal day.”

Thought For The Week: Who Are You?

A simple question not so simply answered. Have you ever stopped to really ask that question to yourself. I mean if you're not sure who you are how can your customers, team members, associates, etc, know you? Which you are you portraying today? Many try to be what they "think" we want them to be and act accordingly. So, I have a suggestion. Just be yourself, your true self. No, most likely not everyone will actually like you. That is OK, because the ones that do won't be surprised when someone else shows up different from the person they "thought" they knew.

Thought For The Week: Who & Why

When giving your elevator pitch, keep these two things in mind. Let people know WHO you are and WHY you do what you do. Let them feel your passion to help, the passion you have for your product, with it's benefits to the professionals listening and their friends and family. The feelings you create are so much more powerful than the statistics you can rattle off. Please, remember you have 30 seconds or less to present a professional message.
